Fall Fest 2019: A Tribute to the Past

Step back in time with some 'New' Nostalgia during our Revamped Fall Fest 2019. 

Enjoy new attractions, classic games and festival activities, inflatables and rides, costume contest, crafts, competitions, tasty Fall treats, and awesome vendor shopping. Enjoy our traditional Haunted Hayride, with a few new twists and surprises along the way. 

Our classic Fall Festival incorporates favorites from the past, and on-trend activities for kids of all ages.

Fall Fest 2019 will be held at Joel Dean Hitt Park:

Armbands for Rides/Inflatables/Games are $10.00/person. Kids under 3 are free, and will be given an armband the day of the event. 

Armbands can be purchased in advance at City Hall September 3rd through October 4th, 2019.

We are currently planning Fall Fest 2019!!! If you would like to volunteer and work with the Park Board to help us plan this event, please contact one of the Park Board Members on the "Get Involved" Tab. For Hayride and group volunteer opportunities, see the form and letter included below: 

We are looking for High School Organizations, Groups, Clubs, Sports Teams, and Scout Troops for the following: (We DO have a couple options for younger groups/organizations, please email us for details.)

*Help run the Rides/Inflatables/Games (we will need groups of 15-20 volunteers for the full 4-10pm Festival. This can be ONE- 6 hour shift, or TWO - 3 hour shifts. EACH shift must have a minimum of 15 volunteers.
Can be students, group leaders, and parents combined.

OR

*Adopt a "Haunt Stop" on our Hayride. This is a contest. Each organization/group will be assigned a spot on the Hayride Trail. The group is responsible for creating a theme, backdrop, props and 'set' for their space, and provide volunteers dressed to their themed spot for the duration of the Hayride Oct. 5th. Groups will also build and tear down their stops. Hayride goers will submit their vote for "2019 Best Scare on the Trail". Winners will be announced and awarded at the conclusion of Fall Fest. A traveling plaque, along with a total in CASH Prizes of $1000.00 will be awarded to the Greenwood Community's Favorite Haunts for 2019. Prizes will be awarded as follows: 

1st Place: $700 for your organization and a traveling plaque to display for the school year. 
2nd Place: $200 for your organization
3rd Place: $100 for your organization

EACH Volunteer must have a Volunteer Agreement form on file with City Hall. Those under 18, must have parent's permission on the form.
